What’s public? The best word I could find to designate my ancillary and often in-person activities that reach the outside world in forms other than writing (above, my first writing workshop at the Salzburg International Summer Academy of Fine Arts). Yes, sometimes I leave my desk, and talk to other people, including other journalists.

Art Basel in Basel, 2016: Vienna VIP lounge, moderation of a silent panel on the concept of time in one of Europe’s eternal cities. Panelists were author Douglas Coupland, Wiener Festwochen director Tomas Zierhofer-Kin, and Norbert Kettner, director of the Vienna Tourism board.
